Planned downtime tonight
Update 01:45 CEST: We have opened up the system letting you log in once again. We’re keeping an eye on everything for a few hours. Contact support if you experience any issues. Update 01:30 CEST: We’ve started services up – newsletters are being delivered, the API works etc. New status in 30 minutes. Update 01:00 CEST: Hopefully we will be seeing the end of tests soon. New status in 30 minutes. Update 00:30 CEST: Still testing all parts of the system to ensure a well running update. New status in 30 minutes. Update 00:00 CEST: We’re still testing but have gotten very far. New status in 30 minutes. Update 23:30 CEST: We will update as soon as we have news regarding the reopening of the system. We are still testing to make sure that all is as it should be. New status in 30 minutes. Update 23:15 CEST: Tests are still being run. New status in 15 minutes. Update 23:00 CEST: We’re running tests to ensure that everything has gone according to plan. New status in 15 minutes. Update 9:55 CEST: We’re still working on the newsletter queue and we expect it to be empty soon. We’re marking it as fixed for now and will keep an extra eye on the process today. Update 9:45 CEST: We’ve started delivering e-mails, however we have a queue to handle so it might take some time before the queue is empty. We sincerely apologise for the issue. Delivery issues
Update 17:50 CEST: The queue is empty and all e-mail is delivered. We’re marking this as fixed. Update 17:02 CEST: The queue is reduced by more than 75% – we expect to be done within the hour. No new status coming up, we’re keeping an eye on the system and closing the issue later when all e-mail is delivered. Once again we apologise for the inconvenience caused. Update 16:27 CEST: We’re delivering e-mails again – we have quite a bit queued so it will take some time emptying the queue but all systems are running at full power. New status in 30 minutes. Update 16:12 CEST: We’re testing fixes right now to verify that the issue is actually being solved. New status in 15 minutes. Update 15:57 CEST: We expect a fix to go out soon and will be running tests afterwards. New status in 15 minutes. Update 15:42 CEST: No news for now, the techs are still working on fixing the issue. New update in 15 minutes. Update 15:27 CEST: We’ve identified the root of the issue and are implementing a fix. New update in 15 minutes. Planned downtime
On Tuesday the 6th of May we will be updating software on our servers. This means that we will be shutting down services between 23:00 CEST and 23:30 CEST on the evening of the 6th of May. During the downtime no services will be available – subscriptions, and images and links used in newsletters will not work. We will be updating this post with status during the downtime and we will try to keep the downtime as short as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Update 23:05 CEST: The work is completed and all systems are operational again.

Delays on outgoing e-mails
Update 10:07 CET: We’re currently experiencing delays on outgoing e-mails, both test e-mails and newsletters. This means that e-mails sent from Ubivox may be delayed. We’re investigating the cause and looking into a solution. New status in 15 minutes. Update 10:22 CET: Investigations showed that delays were not caused by our software but by delays and downtime at an e-mail provider. We’re marking this as a non-issue.

Planned downtime
We will be updating our main database server and therefore we need to shut down the system for up to an hour. This will happen on Monday the 24th of February at 23:00 CET and will be done by Monday the 24th of February at 24:00 CET. During the downtime no services will be available – subscriptions, and images and links used in newsletters will not work. We will be updating this post with status during the downtime. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Update 23:00 CET: The maintenance window has started. Update 23:30 CET: We are starting to bring services back online now. Update 23:35 CET: All services are online and the Ubivox systems are fully operational.

We need to update software on the servers running our virtual environment. We don’t expect any downtime but we’re announcing it as planned downtime in case we need to reboot services. The update will be done on Monday the 20th of January from 20 to 24 CET. We will update this post during the time frame to keep you posted. We will be doing a small update of software and virtual servers tomorrow evening, the 14th of December at 23:00 CEST. We estimate about 30 minutes of downtime in which links and images in newsletters may not be available. Signup forms, API access, system access etc. may also be unavailable. Planned downtime tonight at 23:00 CEST
Update 02:59 CEST: We’ve started up all background processes and mail delivery engines, and everything should be running as normal. Please let us know in a support ticket, should you experience any problems. Update 02:37 CEST: …And we are open for business. The web interface is back up and live from Amsterdam. It’s now possible to login in to the administration, links and images in newsletters are working again and subscription forms etc. is once again collecting subscribers. We’ll be running a couple of more test on the delivery engines before we start up the delivery of newsletters. Update 02:11 CEST: All data has been synchronized and we are now testing and booting up various systems. The synchronization took a bit longer than expected due to delays on our old hosting center storage, but we expect to be able to stay within the maintenance window. Update 23:00 CEST: We have closed the access to the system, stopped all processes and will start moving the system within minutes. Update 12:00 CEST: As we notified about in an e-mail sent last Friday and today, we will be closing access to the Ubivox system tonight at 23:00 CEST. We will be back online tomorrow at 03:00 CEST at the latest. The reason for the planned downtime is that we are moving to a new data center in Amsterdam. Unplanned downtime [fixed]
Update 18:15 CEST: We’re marking this as fixed for now, but we’ll keep an extra eye on all systems for the rest of the night. Update 17:59 CEST: We have disabled software on our load balancer removing the load on the server. This seems to have given the resources necessary to handle the load. No problems have been seen since 17:53 CEST. New status in 15 minutes. Update 17:54 CEST: The downtime is caused by a sudden massive load on our systems. We’re investigating the cause of the load. New status in 15 minutes. Update 17:46 CEST: We’re currently experiencing unplanned downtime. Our tech staff is investigating. This post will be updated in 15 minutes with a new status.

Planned downtime May 15th, 21:00 CEST [fixed]
We will be updating software on our servers on May 15th from 21:00 CEST to 23:00 CEST. We expect lowered capacity and minor disconnections of up to five minutes during this timeframe. We will update this post during the downtime. Update 22:45 CEST: Everything is done. Only a small disruption of a couple of seconds occurred when the load balancer software was upgraded.

Planned downtime April 6th, 19:00 CEST [fixed]
Due to a hosting platform upgrade, the Ubivox system will be offline on: Saturday, April 6th from 19:00 – 21:00 CEST We are required to turn off all systems during the upgrade, so the Ubivox system will not be available in the above interval. Also affected is: API access, forms and images, links, online and archive displays of newsletters. Update 18:00 CEST: All non-essential services has been shut down preparing for the upgrade. All customer facing services are still operational. Update 19:00 CEST: All production systems are down pending the above upgrade. Update 19:35 CEST: All front-end systems are running again (forms, opt-in/out, archives, links, images). We are still working on the backend (deliveries, e-mail API, statistics) Update 20:00 CEST: Everything is back online.

Planned downtime Feb. 16th, 22:00 CET [fixed]
On February 16th at 22:00 CET we will be upgrading our database software. We will have to go into maintenance mode in order to upgrade the software and this means that the entire Ubivox platform will be offline. Signups, signouts, link clicks, views etc. will not work and the system will not be available. We expect the upgrade to take around 15 minutes, however there may be minor interruptions and lower capacity afterwards until all settings have been teaked. If you have any questions regarding this notice, please don’t hesitate to contact support. Update 23:00 CET. We are almost back at full capacity. Expect some minor elevations in response times over the next hour. Update 23:30 CET. Everything is back online and running at full capacity. Thank you for your patience.
